1974 |
The first solar system manufacturing company in Greece produces the famous HELIOTHERMO solar heater. |
1975 |
The company applies the closed circuit system to solar heaters for the first time, a method later applied by all other companies. |
1975 |
‘SOLE’ installs the water heating central system in a large hotel, for the first time in Europe. |
1979 |
‘SOLE’ establishes the solar central heating system for the first time in Greece, thus enabling 90% coverage of all heating needs.

1983 |
The company introduces the JUNIOR model, with a merging tank and collector, an evolutionary unit at the time, meeting even the most demanding aesthetic requirements. |
1986 |
‘SOLE’ creates the "LECTRON PL 1" electronic thermometer, which displays the water temperature in the solar heater at all times, inside the house. |
1993 |
10 years later, the JUNIOR model is renamed ALPHA and wins the competition sponsored by the Greek Ministry of Industry. |
1994 |
‘SOLE’ expands its activities outside Greece to countries such as Spain, Germany, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and many others. |
1999 |
‘SOLE’ completes its worldwide pioneering solar REFRIGERATING and HEATING project. |
1999 |
‘SOLE’ was awarded, by the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), the International "ACHIEVEMENT PRIZE", for its pioneering technology and 25 years of innovation in the solar energy field, as well as the 1st prize of $ 9,000. |

"SOLE", established in 1974 in Athens, was the first solar water heater manufacturing company in Greece that dealt in the field of renewable energy sources and has continued to play a leading role in today’s solar energy system market.
We have installed new facilities at the company’s head offices and production plant. The solar water heater manufacturing plant is located in the greater Athens region, in Menidi-Attica (Corner of Laikon Agonon St. and Lefktron St.)

The philosophy and main objective, upon which ‘SOLE’ was founded and developed, was, is and will always be the production of quality, high tech solar water heaters, electric boilers and solar panels, and the satisfaction of the final customer. For this reason, the company has a specialized research and development department which constantly improves and develops the quality of ‘SOLE’ products. All solar water heaters, electric boilers and solar panels are manufactured according to the ISO 9001 :2000 , CE quality guarantee procedures and certified for their reliability and performance by the ELOT, EKEFE DIMOKRITOS, INTA (Spain), CSTB (France) and TUV ( Germany) institutions.
The innovative technology applied by ‘ SOLE’, is the product of vast experience of the company's personnel and responsible administration.
